King of the Ether Throne · interactive mechanism simulation

Each claim pushes payment to the previous monarch via send(). If the recipient is a contract wallet needing more than the 2300-gas stipend, the send silently fails — and the ETH gets stuck, exactly as it did on 8 February 2016.

Illustrative simulation. Defaults mirror KotET's documented v1.0 rules (0.5 ETH starting price, 33% escalation, 2% commission, 14-day curse) but claim timing, wallet types, and the curse window are compressed and randomized for visualization — not live onchain data. Raise "contract-wallet chance" or click "Trigger the failure mode" to reproduce the February 2016 incident where 98.5 ETH got stuck behind an unchecked send(). Part of The Onchain Experiment Atlas.
