Colored Coins · interactive mechanism simulation

An issuer marks satoshis with an OP_RETURN output; order-based coloring assigns asset units to outputs; client-side wallets trace history to enforce ownership. Send colored coins to a non-aware wallet and the color is destroyed forever.

Illustrative simulation. Mirrors Open Assets' mechanics — UTXO-derived asset IDs, an OP_RETURN marker encoding LEB128 quantities, order-based coloring, and client-side validation with no miner enforcement — but transaction timing and sizes are randomized for visualization, not live onchain data. Drag the sliders, or trigger a naive-wallet send to see coloring destroyed irreversibly. Part of The Onchain Experiment Atlas.
