Tellor · interactive mechanism simulation

Reporters stake TRB and submit values into a dispute window. Anyone can dispute a value before it finalizes; a losing reporter is slashed, a losing disputer forfeits their fee. Undisputed values finalize to the feed and consumers read them. The failure mode shows what happens when a consumer reads before the window closes — as BonqDAO did in 2023.

Illustrative simulation. Defaults mirror Tellor's staked-reporter / bonded-dispute design (~1,000 TRB stake, a dispute window before finalization, token-holder-adjudicated slashing). The attack button models an attacker submitting an inflated value and a consumer reading it before the dispute window closes, as happened to BonqDAO in Feb 2023. Timings, report sizes, and outcomes are randomized for visualization — not live onchain data. Part of The Onchain Experiment Atlas.
